Central Geological Database gathers (31.03.2015):

  • catalogue data of 820 879 archival geological reports stored in the Central Geological Archives in Warsaw and in other Polish archives (in the Documents subsystem);
  • catalogue data of 59 654 published maps stored in the Map Archives of the Central Geological Archives (in the Documents subsystem);
  • catalogue data of 72 963 conventional aerial photographs;
  • data on 159 042 boreholes and their groups (in the Boreholes subsystem), including basic data on boreholes as well as their stratigraphic profiles (usually simplified); there are also detailed lithological profiles of a small number of boreholes;
  • data on drill cores stored in the Central Geological Archives, PGNiG (Polish Oil and Gas Company) and other institutions - for 8 103 boreholes;
  • logging data for 2 415 boreholes;
  • check shot velocity survey data for 2 647 boreholes;
  • 304 095 results of gravimetric semidetailed survey;
  • 981 802 results of total intensity of the Earth's magnetic field measurements;
  • 451 456 results of vertical intensity (DZ) of the Earth’s magnetic field measurements;
  • 278 683 results of aeromagnetic measurements;
  • 4 171 magnetometric measurements of rocks in 20 boreholes;
  • 12 401 density measurements of rock samples in 37 boreholes;
  • 176 614 petrophysical measurements in 1 862 boreholes;
  • location of 148 760 vertical electric soundings (VES) and 150 111 results of VES measurements;
  • metadata on 11 010 2D seismic profiles;
  • metadata on 80 3D seismic surveys;
  • field data for 431 and stacking data for 41 2D seismic profiles;
  • metadata on 14 808 magnetotelluric soundings;
  • metadata on 47 664 landslides obtained form the SOPO project;
  • metadata on 3 842 areas in danger obtained from the SOPO project;
  • information on 3 362 caves
  • data on 102 468 collections and specimens in the PGI Museums in Warsaw and Sosnowiec;
  • constantly developed spatial data, stored as GIS information layers in the spatial subsystem of the CBDG
  • numerous vocabularies that provide standardised data and enable effective search
