The Minerals Yearbook of Poland and its Polish version Bilans Gospodarki Surowcami Mineralnymi Polski i Świata are unique publications, which review mineral commodities production and utilization in Poland. They have been compiled annually for many years. The latest two editions of both publications (all-in 4 titles) are for the first time performed as a task of the Polish Geological Survey according to a plan accepted by the Minister of the Environment. The Polish Geological Institute-National Research Institute (PGI-NRI) fulfils the role of the Polish Geological Survey according to art. 163 of the Geological and Mining Law. Therefore, PGI-NRI took supervised preparation of the publications and approves their final versions, while calculations and content are prepared by authors from the Department of Mineral Policy of the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow. All of the publications mentioned above are financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

The fourth of these titles – Bilans Gospodarki Surowcami Mineralnymi Polski i Świata 2013 – was issued in June 2015. Both publications were issued also in electronic form (pdf format).
